My first goal is to get to know my clients so we can create spaces that are unique to your lifestyle and personality - spaces that solve your challenges and meet your goals. Whether you’re wanting to do a full or partial remodel, or a simple quick makeover, you’re looking for someone to be by your side every step of the way from design to installation.
I am passionate about earth friendly and socially responsible design and take extra care to be sure the products I recommend make it easy for you to feel good about the impact your home has on people and the planet.
My design heart drifts towards Nordic, Australian, and West Coast influences but I commit to designing spaces that are a true reflection of my clients and their families. I find special joy in designing homes where families can spend time together harmoniously including designing bedrooms and playrooms for the littlest of clients.
I offer a range of services depending on the scope of your project, from single room design to full-service renovations. These design services may include space planning and room layouts, permitting for renovation work and additions, construction drawings and 3D renderings, kitchen and bath designs, material and finish selections, and furnishing, lighting, and decor selections. For every project I am available to take care of designing, permitting, sourcing, order placement, delivery management, installation, and styling.
I am happy to collaborate with your architect or builder to help you make your home truly yours! As a licensed architect please know that I can also help you with all aspects of your home renovation if you prefer. I do not do architectural work without also being retained for interior design work (materials and finishes) on the space as well. I find great joy in the interior details and feel the interior can so well inform many architectural choices, so only offer these services in combination.

I am passionate about products that are good to the earth, good for you and your family, and ethically sourced and made. I take extra care to be sure the products I recommend make it easy for you to feel good about the impact your home has on people and the planet.
Do you buy organic foods and limit your purchases of products packaged in plastic? Rock on! Do you use all natural shampoo bars in the shower and clean your house with vinegar and water? High five! Do you avoid the temptations of fast fashion and invest in clothes that are ethically made and made from organic and recycled fibers? Woot! Do you bike and walk and take public transit instead of driving as much as possible? Yeahhh!
If you answered yes to any of the above or even if you aspire to answer yes but aren't quite there yet I'm sure we'll get along splendidly. Making changes in our daily lives is a great place to start - but sometimes it's easy to forget the impact that renovations, furnishings, and home decor have on the planet and the people making those products.
I love to work with small shops, especially ones based and manufacturing here in North America, but there are many great companies based in North America or across the globe that fabricate around the world - as long as they use ethical labor and sustainable materials and transportation systems they get a thumbs up in my book. Things I look for include FSC certified woods, organic and recycled fibers for textiles, and Fair Trade Certification. But being sustainable and ethical definitely isn't limited to small shops - big companies make big impacts when they make changes to their sustainability and labor practices. Some big companies that are making the effort include West Elm and IKEA and I'm happy to support them when appropriate as well.
What Jillian Michaels says about fitness applies to your home too..."it's not about perfect, it's about effort."
